I've come to look forward to the Jeff Cutler writing exercises as a tool for creative thinking.

I have two ideas - one is to write a "Dear Santa" letter from the voice of a 6 year old in 2007. The short piece can be dramatic or comedic, but must convey the child's life circumstances in indirect ways.

The other idea is to follow the guidelines on NPR's Vocal Impressions reader/listener challenge, here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16735834

Anyone interested?
