Currently it appears like Movable Type is the best blogging platform available right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?

After seeing the pricing model and the functionality - I WANT! Not that I didn't agree with Phil when he submitted his post - I did. But the price and the included lifetime Wifi was a deal maker for me.

The device IS a glorified iPhone...just bigger...but now it makes inroads as a machine I can use to write when on the road. Pound and a half, Pages app for only $10, Wifi and 3G at only $29 a month unlimited.

What is wrong with that? Love it. But good discussion starter Philly. It could have gone either way.

Congratulations, on dissing a device you haven't even seen or tried just prove that your report is about as useful as a car with no engine

So, I totally get what you are saying. My ONLY hope for the new device is that I can draw and paint on it. Failing that, I'll go back to drooling over the Modbook Pro: http://www.axiotron.com/index.php?id=modbookpro

I've been doing a lot of thinking about it, and the conclusion I come to personally each time is that, if it lets me draw and paint, I'm in. PDF, Office docs, and Flash are all pluses (I can't see it succeeding in the larger format w/out support for those) but if I can't do my main job on it, I'll stick to my iPhone. As you say, i've already got 3 Macs. If I get a fourth, it needs to offer something I really need like direct to screen drawing.
