Twitter Friends Come Together – Fox 25 Boston

A week ago I was at the Fox 25 studios to speak with Ted Daniel about the ways in which Twitter brings people together. It was a fun experience and allowed me to speak about Twitter technique and share some of the training I do all over the country for various organizations.

    Nice story, but I think Fox25 misses the point (per the comment I just left over on their site about the number of people one follows or is followed by is a moot number). Those women met because of a relationship, having nothing to do with number of people either was following or was followed by. Kudos to you, Jeff, for not talking (on air, anyway) about that aspect of Twitter that mass media focuses far too much attention on.

  4. This was well produced and fun to watch. That feeling of already knowing someone you meet for the first time based on back-and-forth 140-character blurbs is truly the magic of Twitter. Hopefully this report will encourage some people who have resisted it to sign up and give is a shot.

    Ari- your comment is spot-on. I’ll take real relationships over huge follower counts any day of the week.
