I try not to get on twitter during weekend at all, and Internet in general – only if I need some info. With our heads constantly in online-bubble, I’m trying to get to live offline live as much as possible. But then I’m very old fashioned

As much as you are having to eat airplane food and ride planes that may or may not be more than minivans with wings, you (like Brogan) are doing what you really love. You are meeting people who are passionate about what they do.

I think that’s the magical part since most people don’t get to do what they love. They’re busy doing something they can tolerate to get a paycheck every week. Granted, Brogan is a making a killing while still doing what he loves, but even if he wasn’t, I bet he’s still do it.

As a former President of the Emerson College SPJ chapter, I know that the tools for journalism now are incredible. And to teach that to reporters around the country would be amazing. Maybe I’m a masochist, too, but I would take that opportunity any day, even for free and on the most harrowing plane rides.
