THE Tally….
After an entire week of counting my expenditures dining out, I ended with a respectable figure. While you might not see $213.50 as respectable, there have certainly been a few weeks in my life where I spent $50 per night every night of the week. That – outside of any other meals – would show up at $350, so this week was a win.
What do you spend dining and drinking out in a given week? How does that compare to what you spend on food at home? Or when you’re on vacation?
See below for the breakdown of each meal – in reverse order – this past week.

A friend asked recently (and this has been asked before by other friends and some strangers), “how much do you spend in a week on going out to eat?”
That’s the question that spurred my co-hosting and founding of NomX3.
It’s the question that made me pay a little more attention to my other spending habits and therefore focus on $8 pants in the theory that you should never buy clothes that cost more than a burrito.
And it’s the question that has prompted me to keep track.
SO, this week I’ll be updating this blog post with info each day on what I spend on food and beverage. This will let us all know how sick I really am and whether I should just not eat for a week and then retire to the south of France.
Comments are welcome. Each updated piece of info will go UP TOP and be set off by **********.
