You’ve been begging for them, so here are some more photos from Paris…
This is one of the series of odd vehicles they have here in Paris. Next trip over I’ll be renting one of these 1930s era scooters.
The Arch around which Tour de France riders shall be traveling this Sunday. Can’t wait!!
This was an alley in Brussels. Look at what the street sign says…ave du arts.
Mr. Picasso did this little ditty.
Some guy named Jeff Cutler took this photo. Almost as arty as Picasso.
The Aviation Club, Paris. Where I shall play poker either tomorrow or next Monday. Watch for an update.
Bar food in Paris…really.
The view from the bar. By the way, uploading these one at a time is very annoying, so I hope you’re really enjoying this.
An arty shot of a square in Brussels on Tuesday.
Just another odd vehicle. Many more to follow – mostly small ones.
This thing looks like it has an engine. Odd.
These are the Velib bikes. They are for free use in half-hour increments, you just have to leave a credit card. And you have to be OK riding a pink bike.
Bike seat by Picasso. Really.
This was our regular breakfast when we woke up early enough to have breakfast. Otherwise we found ourselves buying a loaf of bread at a bakery and wandering around looking for a good cup of coffee.
Just another arty photo of Brussels.
Now we get into the mini car section.
Or the hot chocolate section. Mmmm, chocolate.
Another car…
With odd looking churches added for effect.
And more stuff outside churches.
This is a standard garage in Paris. Built right into the side of the building and opening upon a courtyard. People use it as their main door too.
Just another French guy showing me where it says that they are NOT cheese-eating surrender monkeys.
Speaking of eating. The food was marvelous. I have already compiled solid memories of four great meals. And we did a lot of fending for ourselves as restaurants were a little pricey.
It is perfectly healthy to be obsessed with tiny cars.
Some hot Parisian who tried to get me to move to Paris by feeding me ice cream. I ate the ice cream and said I’d think about it.
I see dead people.
Oh, my. Lion in the Louvre.
Another arty shot. Of the Louvre this time, a little ironic.
OK. Another car and a scooter. More photos to come in a future post. I’ll leave you with just these last few…
One of my best shots this trip. Notre Dame from an odd angle.
More to come…
