The homeplate umpire mentioned to Josh Beckett between innings that the rain was causing some problems and…

“The balls might be getting slick in my pocket.”

I’m aghast! Don’t let that umpire near your children.

**Maybe it’s the late start of the games and the length of MLB games, but I’m a little loopy and it’s only the 4th inning. AND it’s nearly 10PM. YIKES!!
