SPOILER – Stage 2 Winner

July 6, 2008

I can promise you that some of my posting days will be lighter than others. Today I was at the Boston Media Makers Breakfast at Doyles Pub in Jamaica Plain (BMM070608) while the Tour was being broadcast. SO, I didn’t have a lot of firsthand experience about today’s stage.

Here’s a recap of the stories I read on today’s Stage 2 in the 2008 Tour de France.

Norwegian cyclist Thor Hushovd won stage 2 of the 2008 Tour de France. He rides for the Credit Agricole team and this is reported to be his sixth TDF stage win.

Today’s stage was about 102 miles (or 164 KM) and went from Auray France to Sait Brieuc.

Alejandro Valverde kept the leader’s jersey with a one-second gap over the field (including team Columbia’s Kim Kirchen and Cadel Evans of Austrailia also a second behind.

Post to come shortly with the standings after stage 2.
