SPOILER – Team Columbia

The last kilometer saw Mark Cavendish of Team Columbia flying down the straightaway with George Hincapie and others in tow.

And then with a final burst of speed Cavendish took the stage win a hair ahead of Oscar Friere and Thor Hushovd.

Sadly, the three guys who were in the breakaway for 220KM were gobbled up with less than 100 meters to go.
