Stage 1 Results – 2010 Tour de France – SPRINT MADNESS

My prediction that Mark Cavendish would win Stage 1 of the 2010 Tour de France was wrong. This phenomenal specimen of a bike rider crashed in the hairpin 2KM from the finish.

Hairpin turns and hills led right up to the finish. Teams came to the front with 4KM left. The big teams at the front on the lead out were HTC and Lampre and Rabobank.

MAJOR crash at the hairpin turn knocked down three or more riders, but they lose no time because it’s within 3KM (stupid rule).

Another crash took out MOST of the peleton. Who knows who’s going to win this stage???
