Stage 9 – Thoughts and Picks

With two category 1 climbs at the end of the 224KM stage 9, riders are going to be gasping for mercy.

I see this (since it didn’t happen yet) as the stage that breaks the peloton apart completely. I see Cadel Evans and Kim Kirchen staying near the top, but this is the time for Denis Menchov to take control of the Tour.

We’ll see how it shakes out.

Oh, the stage goes from Toulouse to Bagneres de Bigorre.
