Coulton

October 10, 2007

Never in my life have I been so amazed at the talent of a singer/songwriter (except maybe when I was REALLY into Huey Lewis), than I was this past week after my attendance at a Jonathan Coulton concert.

It was held at Johnny D’s (lots of Johns in this story) in Somerville and the opening band was phenomenal. So, after listening to Paul and Storm I thought that Coulton was going to be a let-down.

As an aside, Paul and Storm are WAY interested in purchasing the boldefromage.com domain name, so keep your grubby hands off. It’s only fair. I spent $35 on three of their CDs at Friday’s concert.

I had originally heard of Jonathan Coulton via the Pop-Sci Podcast from the Moon and only recently found out that he wrote and sang his own material. So CF and I went to Friday’s show.

Well, all I can say is that if you EVER get the chance, you should go.

I don’t care if it’s on Easter or your wedding day or even on the NFL fantasy draft day. GO SEE JONATHAN COULTON IN CONCERT.

Here’s a link to his stuff. Be careful….you will likely choke on your Cheerios or other snack food if you listen while eating.

More to come…
