Fire Stinks

Not the stench of fire, but the actual event of something burning to the ground. That’s what really blows.

This morning, CF got a phone call from her work telling her that one of the company buildings had burned to the ground and she’d have to help coordinate messages and plans for relocating the occupants.

I can’t imagine what I’d do if I were faced with fire. We all have so much invested in the stuff around us and losing treasured items would certainly be emotionally devastating.

During today’s fire, nobody was hurt—or at least physically hurt. Who knows what shape people’s emotions will be in when the dust settles?
