For the love of batteries

October 8, 2007

While this might be entirely random – and often my posts here are – I love batteries that work.

In my GPS, a strong battery helps me find geocaches.

In my phone, a strong battery lets me make calls and send text messages efficiently and quickly.

In my camera, a strong battery lets me take about 2000 photos while in Paris (not all at once, I think I get 300 or so per battery charge).

And in my Macintosh iBook, a strong battery gives me peace of mind, portability and extreme happiness.

This comment is brought about by a fortuitous purchase of a used iBook battery. I made this purchase on Thursday night and have been gallivanting about unencumbered by wires all weekend long.

To all the good batteries in my life, thanks for the charge.

More to come…
